Spectacle in Fur: NYFW Street Style Day 3

Bringing a touch of Brooklyn Uptown to Lincoln Center

Every once in a while
You meet a child
That drives you wild
With unmistakable downtown style.
— Van Hunt

Day three street style at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week, Fall 2014 brought downtown edge to Manhattan's Upper West Side. Stylish women and men paraded around Lincoln Center Plaza sporting fur -- faux and real --  to make a warm fashion statement. Traditional furs were favored by the conservative among us, while the trendy set donned striking coats bathed in whimsical colors and bold prints . Thankfully, there were no PETA anti-fur activists around to Lohan attendees.

Bright colors and vibrant prints breathed new life into a myriad of outfits. But, many savvy fashion lovers stood pat with dark hues to give their edgy attire a touch of sophistication.

Accessories were another standout on day three as hats, neckwear, handbags, shoes, jewelry, and sunglasses finished off dozens of outfits with style.

Day five of New York Fashion Week street style should be interesting.
